Jesus-Centered Preschool Bible Resources | Gentle Faith-Based Learning with Miss Merry Berry

Hi, I’m Merrawyn 🤍—an elementary teacher and the heart behind Miss Merry Berry.
I create Jesus-centered preschool Bible resources rooted in play, wonder, and gentle gospel truth for our littlest learners. I used to be in the classroom full-time, but these days you’ll often find me subbing at church with the little ones while quietly creating resources for preschool and kindergarten over on Teachers Pay Teachers.
My heart is in creating no-prep, hands-on, engaging printables that gently weave Bible truth into everyday learning. Through worship songs, simple games, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and circle-time activities, each resource is designed to point little hearts straight to Jesus.
Everything I create comes from a calm, gospel-centered place and is designed for preschool through kindergarten or really up to grade 2, whether you’re teaching at home, in Sunday school, or in kids’ ministry. My hope is to make it a little easier to show young children who God really is—and just how deeply He loves them.
Why I Create Jesus-Centered Preschool Bible Resources
Here’s the part that really stirred my heart.
Growing up in the church, I watched so many friends slowly drift away from their faith. Out of sixteen girls from my youth group, only four or five are still actively walking with Jesus or raising their families in faith. That reality stayed with me—and quietly changed how I see ministry to children.
After reading Show Them Jesus by Jack Klumpenhower, something finally clicked. Through my own life experiences, I’ve come to understand that the Bible isn’t simply a collection of moral lessons wrapped in pretty bows. It’s the living story of who God is—His power, goodness, mercy, grace, and unfailing love. It’s the story of a God who relentlessly pursues our hearts so we can have a real, saving relationship with Him through Christ.
That understanding shapes everything I create.
My passion is to help children encounter God’s love in meaningful, age-appropriate ways—by gently and intentionally pointing them to Jesus and His saving grace, while highlighting God’s beautiful character. My prayer is that these small moments plant seeds of wonder and truth that last a lifetime.
Teaching and discipling little hearts is beautiful… and busy. Thoughtful, prayerful planning takes time, and we all need simple, ready-to-go ways to share the gospel without adding more to our plates. Pinterest saved my Sundays for years—I found so many wonderful ideas but rarely had the time to create them myself.
So here I am, finally going for it—one gentle, gospel-filled printable at a time 🌱.
I hope this blog becomes a cozy, Jesus-centered place where I can share activity ideas, teaching tips, song props, and faith-filled encouragement that’s simple to use and easy to bring into your day—while quietly pointing little hearts to Jesus.
Thank you for being here as I step out on this faith-filled adventure. If you ever have an idea, a prayer, or a “please make this resource!” request—I’m always listening 💛.
If you’d like to explore the resources I’ve been creating, you can find them over at Miss Merry Berry. I also share occasional freebies through my free resource library for those who want a little extra encouragement along the way.
Here’s to raising children who know and love the One who first loved us—the Berry Best way 🍓.
