God’s revival happens in the desert. 🌵✨ I God’s revival happens in the desert. 🌵✨

I was reading Ezekiel 20 today, and the first thought that came to me was: God is in the business of redemption and revival. But then a deeper thought came—God’s revival happens in the desert. 🌵

When He wants to change our hearts and minds, He sometimes removes us from everything familiar. What feels barren, isolating, or dry is often the sacred space where He softens our hearts, purifies our motives, and cultivates dependence on Him.

The desert strips away the old, and unseen new life begins to grow—like seeds under the sand. What feels like dryness or loss can actually be the soil for resurrection in our souls. In these quiet, stripped-down seasons, God whispers, reshapes, and draws us closer to Himself. ✨💛🙏

Growing up, I often approached Scripture with a me-centered view:
👉 “What do I get from being obedient?”
👉 “What do I get if I follow this teaching?”

It’s humbling (and a little embarrassing) to admit that was my mentality.

But this year, my approach changed—not because I had a sudden aha moment, but because someone wiser challenged me:
🌿 Read the Bible not for what God can do for you, but to know who He truly is.

Wow. What a humbling shift.
I’ve learned that:
💛 His love fiercely protects His people.
💛 He longs for an intimate relationship with us.
💛 He repeats His promises and encourages us not to fear but to trust Him.
💛 Even when His people fail, after extended mercy and grace, He still follows them—even into exile.

That is fierce love.
A love so fierce, it leaves me in awe—and draws me to worship.
This is why I was made to worship Him. ✝️🙏

✨ “Oh how He loves us.” ✨ I never thought ✨ “Oh how He loves us.” ✨

I never thought I would or could say this, but I have absolutely loved reading the Bible daily and gleaning truth from what is shared. As I’ve been reading through Ezekiel, I’ve had time to ponder the character of God. And what I’ve discovered is this: the more time I spend with Him each day, the more I stand in reverence of His character and who He is.

Strewn throughout Ezekiel are a people whose hearts had grown hard through idol worship and sin. Yet what humbles me most is that God mourned for His people. He wept over their sin. He gave warning after warning, chance after chance to repent. And then—He commanded a cherubim to mark the ones who would be saved, those whose hearts were broken over the sins of their people.

Can you imagine being loved like that? Loved so much that God’s own heart breaks when we wander far from Him?

Each day I close my Bible in awe of this truth: God warns, He rescues, He saves. And even when discipline must come, He walks with us in our exile.

To be completely honest, I was a bit shy… and a whole lot scared. I didn’t feel like I had anything worth saying. Well, maybe I did—but I questioned whether I should share it or not.

You see, my story is filled with trauma, grief, heartache, sorrow, and abuse. Many days, I feel like the woman at the well, going to fill my pitchers of water at noon to escape the crowds.

When I felt God’s call to share my testimony on Instagram, I shied away. My heart was full of fear and doubt. But this past week, watching so much sorrow and heartbreak in the world, I felt pushed to finally accept His call.

My life is messy, broken, and far from perfect. It’s filled with heartbreak. Yet in the mess, I have found Jesus—and I am finding Him more each day.

So here’s my invitation, just like the woman at the well:
“Come and see a man who told me everything I have ever done. Could this be the Christ?”
